About the Event

As we gather around the flame on the longest night of the year, we honor the return of the light, release what no longer serves us, and welcome new blessings for the season ahead.

Expect grounding rituals, communal intentions, gentle movement, and space to connect with neighbors, ancestors, and spirit.

What is Winter Solstice?

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It occurs when the Earth’s tilt places your hemisphere farthest from the sun, creating the peak of winter darkness. After the solstice, daylight slowly begins to return, symbolizing the turning of the wheel and the rebirth of the sun.

Physical Significance

  • Shift in daylight: The solstice is a real astronomical event — the exact moment the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky.
