Honoring the Ancestors: Creating & Tending Your Ancestral Altar

Our ancestors are part of the story that brought us here. This virtual class is an introduction to building a meaningful relationship with your ancestors through remembrance, offerings, prayer, and the intentional tending of an ancestral altar.

Together, we’ll explore the purpose of an ancestral altar, how to thoughtfully create one in your home, what can be placed on an altar, and how to approach offerings with intention and respect. We’ll also discuss how to tend to your altar, maintain a relationship with your ancestors, recognize when it may be time to refresh or change offerings, and create a consistent spiritual practice.

This class is designed to help you create a sacred space where you can pause, remember, communicate, express gratitude, and honor those who came before you.
